SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENT KENYA MORRIS
Kenya Morris is a graduating senior from the sunshine city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and will be attending North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University starting Fall ’23. Kenya, possesses over ten years of academic success and school leadership. With that, her personality has often been described as optimistic, resilient, and driven.
Kenya graduated from the Performing Arts Dance Program at Dillard High School while maintaining a 4.1 GPA, making the A/B honor roll, being top 12% in her class, earning the position as the President of the National Honor Society, becoming the Financial Secretary of the Student Government Association, the Captain of the Fabulous Flags for over 2 years and receiving over 300 community service hours.
Kenya is aware that tenacity is a quality of the Foundations scholarship, thus her perseverance and ambition are the qualities that will positively contribute to Kenya’s success in obtaining a higher education.
